RI kicks off 12-year compulsory education program
The Education and Culture Ministry launched the
12-year compulsory education program on Tuesday, officially named the Universal
Secondary Education (Pendidikan Menengah Universal), to give equal access to
education for people between 16 and 18 years old.
The program will phase out the previous nine-year
compulsory education program launched in 1994. The 12-year program will
officially kick off this new school year in July.
Ronaldo 'falling in love' with mangroves, a minister says
Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan said Portuguese
soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo had “fallen in love” with mangroves.
At a campaign event on Wednesday to save mangrove
forests, Zulkifli explained why the world famous soccer player loved the
mangroves.
My Pet
I
have a pet. It is a female cat. I called her ‘Mamung’. She is so cute and soft.
I really love her. She is my partner to play with at home. I have her since
June 2011. She is a very active cat. When she was born, she was so active. As
soon as she could walk, she already explored the whole house. She climbed the
table and played there.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Historical Approaches
Before
I start to explain about the advantages and disadvantages of historical
approaches, first I will explain about the definition of approaches in
according to our book an approach is viewed as an over all theory about
learning language, which then lends it-self to “approaching” language teaching
and learning in a certain manner. (D. L. Norland and Terry Pruett-Said : 2006)
which means that Approach is
discussing about underpinning theory of language and the application of that
theory. In our book, there are three things in the historical approaches chapter
that I am going to explain about their advantages and disadvantages.
